No idea, only been here since January, but its bloody nice at the moment. When my family in the UK have been complaining for weeks about the cold and rain, we have had blue skies, sun and tank top weather. Though there have been some foggy days, not many at all. So June sounds like it will be good!

Its usually warmest thru August-september, but will remain mild until December. Dec-Mar are the very cold months

Actually the best months in Nova Scotia are August right through in to November. I say August because usually the bugs are on the way out and it is warm still. It is good weather for doing all the summer things...late nights on the deck, swims in the lake, lots of veggies are coming ripe in the garden...absolutely love September.....I also love July cause there is so many things going on and usually the weather is stinking hot so it lots of BBQ's.....I hate May cause the black flies ....give me mosquitoes any day....we put our screen tent up on Sunday and I got 3 black fly bites and those guys just don't bite.....they take chunks out of you...its painful! Also May is nice because of the peepers...it is so nice listening to them and watching the loons on the lake, This spring I have seen so much wildlife "at it" its not funny!!! Right now there are two loons floating around out there and a sea gull keeps diving bombing them so I guess there is a nest close by...Except for the black flies...life is good!

Hi Canada Dreams
15 to 25 degrees......can expect almost anything but mostly nice weather. Usually an enjoyable month, some areas have a blackfly problem but not everywhere. Heading into any area in particular ? Just a word of caution ! Be prepared, people here are seriously..................relaxed and friendly and will want to talk to you ( whatever next?) So.........you think you can cope with driving on big,(EMPTY) roads ???
Enjoy the trip.....much to absorb.....welcome.

Basically anywhere that isnt urban. Away from Cities and towns and especially anywhere forested you will get them. Unlike mosquitoes they arent a bug that hangs around water - they mostly like woods.

They should be gone by mid-late June though

You'll find the summers in NS generally a lot hotter (and more consistently hot) than the UK thats for sure. Inland temps are normally high 20s or low 30s. At the coast ists a few degrees cooler - mid 20s typically.

There are a lot of humid days during the summer where the "feels-like" temperature (or the "humidex") puts the temperature up 5-10 degrees.

Between June and September, the humidity can regularly push the temperature up to 30-40, so lots of beach-weather days and a few where it's too hot to really do anything at all..

thanks all

we are coming over on 7th for a week, having a drive round to see some local areas we might move to, not sure if we will stay in hotel or drive around and hire camper, so short weather it is then, do worry if the sun goes in during the 7th - 14th, its only me with my legs out putting it away sorry

Unlike mosquito they dont suck your blood. They lap it up, so they chew a little hole in the skin and drink the blood as it pools.

I find a bit of chemical warfare ie Muskol or such keeps them away and if you stay away from bushes and trees then they arent much of a problem. Jules was eaten alive last year because she was gardening all along a hedge and they were queuing up for a chew and a pint!
