What part of Canada???

Good evening to all!

I am a professional single parent in the Skilled Worker PR application process. I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on the best place to live in Canada as far as housing costs, employment, cultural history, social activities etc.? For some reason Nova Scotia just keeps calling me. Any thoughts????
Thanks to all!!
Anna

Avoid BC as a single parent.....and make sure your legal paperwork with regard to your child is watertight.

To be fair it hasnt been asked in what? 4 days? and the server was down for a while there too ;) Perhaps the poster is not familiar with the search function, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt. :p

Poor Anna is probably reeling from the response she got, and thinking how unhelpful we all are!!

The thing is Anna, it's too huge a question for anyone to answer and yet it gets asked so regularly!! ;)

House prices are best checked on mls.ca

There is a wealth of information regarding cultural history, weather patterns, cost of living in different areas available on the web and many happy surfing hours to be had.

If you ask for opinions about a certain area here you will get them a'plenty, and often they completely contradict eachother as we are all just people with differing experiences and needs. (....but you can try if you like, just maybe make your questions a little more specific eh?) :D

Job prospects really need to be researched individually in my opinion, but you can ask, only again be specific, and again, all you will get is people's experience and opinion, so bear that in mind.

If you can, once you think an area is of interest, get out there and visit.

Just my 2 cents :p and Good Luck!

Thank you to all that replyed! I was not asking for a concrete answer I was just searching for others like myself who relocated to different parts of Canada and their own general personal experiences. Visiting Canada and actually moving to Canada cannot be the same experience that is why I was asking. Thanks to all :)

The problem is that it's a question that gets asked every few days ... there isn't a simple answer to it ... what you tend to get is a bickering match between the long term inhabitants of the forum ... try running your question through the search option ... top right :)

I've lived in Nova Scotia.
Lovely place to retire! :)
It's certainly very beautiful and very friendly, but employment prospects aren't good and it's very sleepy (boring?).
