Lots of transient male workers working in the oil industry.
They earn a good wage so things tend to be more expensive.

I wouldn't want to live there permanently, but up to a year would be OK.

lots of re-building needed after the major forest fire last year. Large parts of town are still basically a disaster area.

That picture is hillarious!!I saw a documentary recently on the fire last year and it struck me that its a town thats the same as anywhere Canada, families, kids going to school......
