What Insurance

Hi, Im busy sorting out things for our move to Saskatoon on a work permit on July 26th, and am wondering what sort of travel/health insurance I need to get or companies I can use for the 3 months before Sask plan kicks in?
Most of the companies I have been looking at say you need to be full time residents of the UK or EIRE to qualify. What did other work permit holders do?
Please help, regards Carrie-ann

Re: What Insurance

Are you sure you need it? I don't know but it sounds like you'd be in their "Special Class of Newcomers" under "non-immigrants who are in Canada in connection with their trade or profession. If you are among the groups identified [above], you may be eligible for benefits from the date you move to Saskatchewan".

Might be worth checking with them before you shell out for private cover.
