What electrical goods will work in Canada ?

We have booked our removals and the rep. suggested that some electrical items couldbe taken with us. However he would not commit to anything as he had heard of people getting all sorts of things to work. We just wanted to know if simple things such as our Dyson would work with an adaptor. Any other advice would be greatly received.

Thanks
Jimmy d

Hi
most small stuff will work via a transformer, bigger stuff no good.
we brought two virtually new TV's that have the three r/b/g ? input plugs.
we get canadian tv by putting the signal thro' a cheap DVD recorder from walmart and then into the TV via the three inputs.
the other TV is for the kids games machine.
remember to pack plenty of UK four/six way extension leads and put a canadian plug on the end, it works great for charging cell phones etc ..
we ended up asking all visitors to bring one out ...
cheers
Jerry
