Default What can I claim for tax - wise..?

Dear All,

I have Googled, browsed and searched and cannot find a definitive list of everything I can claim tax-relief wise for our returns.
We have a local accountant who has asked us to bring receipts along for transit, children's sport lessons etc... But what is the etc?!
I cannot find a huge comprehensive list anywhere. Our accountant is crazy busy with everyone else's returns right now so I don't want to bug her with dumb questions every two minutes - ummm like I have been doing...

Is there a link or list I've missed somewhere please.

Some background: we live in Vancouver - hubby works & I am at home with two 5yr olds...

Huge thanks!

If you have extra medical cover through eg Blue Cross then print out a statement summary for all family members covered by your policy between January 1, 2012 thru to December 31. All out of pocket medical/dental/optical/health expenses will be listed.

In addition if you are paying any or all of the premiums for extra health cover, you can claim those.

I was told by a tax guy this week that a parent can claim up to thousands for each child in CCTB and other things

the no-brainer things you can claim include receipt for daycare, camps, sports et al

Yes we also claim that.

OP will also be happy to know that because she does not work, her tax allowance can be transferred to her husband.

Re childcare tax allowance, did someone not post recently that both parents have to be employed or in further education in order to claim?
