Default We have PR but 1 year old child born in uk does not?

Hi, hope that someone can give me some useful info. My partner and I both hold PR, and returned home to have a baby (easier with family) we returned back to Canada for 3 months last winter and have been in UK since march and are returning to Canada in November. The problem is how do we sponsor our child (1 year old)
1. Can I do this in Canada or do we have to do it before we leave?
2. Will she be able to enter on a one way ticket as she does not have residency in Canada?

I would relay appreciate some info as I had a really bad dream last night that she got refused into the country and we all had to head back to the UK.

cheers
Paul

Just bear in mind the child will not be able to work in Canada until s/he receives PR

No doubt, one of the immigration experts will be along to say what the correct answer is. Other than healthcare, I cannot see an issue, but I am confident I am wrong.

Hi,

When we sponsored our baby a few years back, hubby moved to Canada first and I stayed behind until the baby was approved for PR. During his interview he was told that this was completely unnecessary, and we should have moved to Canada together and sponsored her form here. Apparently her being here as a visitor would not have been a problem.

Hope this helps.
