I think North BBy is a better pick personally. Strathcona is still too close to zombie land. It has never really gentrified like it was supposed to. I think there were great deals to be had and then it got silly expensive. North Burnaby is not that much further to drive...

I can remember back around 1994 a friend bought a place there for less than 200,000 - i thought she was nuts - place is worth like 750,000 now!
