I agree and also think cultural identification is what helps to define a person. Like being proud to be gay (or just on trend) , Scottish, Indian, Hindu, Welsh (ok maybe not welsh) or British born n bred it defines who we are and is important to that person.
Unless the person is embarrassed about his cultural identity, then they would most Likley go all PC I would think

Well, yes, there are people who live in Brampton who are not from India. The idea that Brampton was filled with Canadians seems far fetched though, wasn't it largely Scottish before it was largely Indian?

Re: Walmart now has a British section
The stuff thats available in Canadian supermarkets is in a tiny jar and expensive.
Has anyone tried the Marmite available in Canadian supermarkets compared to the "British" imported stuff? The ingredients list is different (the UK one had Vitamin B12 and Folic acid, whereas the stuff available widely in Canada doesn't have the added vitamins and some of the other ingredients are different). In fact a guy running a British shop (think it was in Hamilton) had a consignment of Marmite (and Irn-Bru) confiscated by the Canadian thought police a couple of weeks ago, apparently they aren't happy with foods with vitamins added. Personally I would have thought they would have other things to worry about compared to one guy with one shop knocking out a few jars of Marmite.

Do we really want to go there.? Lets just say we love Tom and Catherine Zeta Jones, and Charlotte Church
I know that store you mentioned and I have bought stuff from there. More things to worry about, like what?

In the early 1820s, John Elliott settled in the village. He and another settler named William Lawson were staunch members of the Primitive Methodist movement and they established a strong Methodist presence in the area. Both were from Brampton, Cumberland, England. In 1834, they named the settlement Brampton in honour of their English home. Elliott also had village lots surveyed for sale to help attract other settlers. John Scott established the first industrial venture with an ashery used to produce potash.
