Re: Walmart now has a British section
It's not old news if your Walmart has only just converted to a supercentre selling fresh stuff. The British section appears to be a feature associated with supercentre rather than Walmart in general.
Not all Walmarts are supercentres so not all have a British section as described.
Maybe Guelph has gone "super"

I know Canadians who don't care either. I know others who don't really want to offer any opinion good or bad, and others still who complain about "too many brown people". They're happy enough with me though, at least to my face, because I'm not brown and, despite accent, am obviously a native English speaker. Perhaps in private i'm the "bloody immigrant takin our jerbs"
All sorts eh.

No British section in the Walmart in the Valley in NS, but then it's one of the 'frozen and processed food' stores. Maybe things will change.... I was very happy to see on my last visit they had closed the in store MacDonalds!

Re: Walmart now has a British section
I was bored so compared ingredients. (note I don't use this product, so no clue as to what it tastes like.)
Canada Version:
white vinegar, water, glucose-fructose, black strap molasses, tomato puree, dates, modified corn starch, salt, concentrated orange juice, spices, onions, tamarind extract, concentrated apple juice, garlic, chilli peppers, caramel, mustard flour, corn syrup.
UK Version:
tomatoes, malt vinegar (from barely) glucose-fructose, spirit vinegar, sugar, dates, modified corn flour, rye flour, salt, spices, flavoring, tamarind.
There appears to be no HP sauce specific for the US Market or I'd post that as well. (I did find the A1 Sauce the popular brand in the US, was originally from the UK, but seems to have lost popularity there, apparently only available at 1 chain of grocery stores.)
Companies butcher a lot of products for the Canadian market, even products sold in both the US and Canada, the Canadian version is often different. Breyers Ice Cream is a good example, in the US they point out all the ingredients other brands have and how some of the names are hard to pronounce, and often use children trying to read the list of other brands ingredients.
Natural Vanilla in the US:
MILK, CREAM, SUGAR, TARA GUM, NATURAL Vanilla.
Natural Vanilla in Canada:
ICE CREAM: FRESH CREAM, MODIFIED MILK INGREDIENTS, SUGAR, GLUCOSE, PURE GROUND VANILLA BEANS, NATURAL FLAVOUR, MONO AND DIGLYCERIDES, CELLULOSE GUM, GUAR GUM, CARRAGEENAN, POLYSORBATE 80
Whats funny in the US they specifically point out their ice cream has no Poly Sorbate 80....
Its a shame as its a decent ice cream south of the border.

You can find marmite in the baking section of most supermarkets (given that it is a yeast extract).
Heinz now also sell 'British style beans' (complete with traditional blue label), made in Canada, for the Canadian market.
At our local Walmart, the British section had genuine imported UK Heinz beans at $2.20. In the canned veg section they had the new 'British style', made in Canada ones for $1. Whilst the nutritional value chart differs slightly, they both taste the same.

Re: Walmart now has a British section
We have a British section in our local Walmart, and I happened to notice one day that they had Worchestershire Sauce in the British section that was priced higher than the exact same size bottle of Worchestershire Sauce in the regular section (with all the other sauces)
I double checked everything about the two bottles....they were identical....they just want to charge a higher premium for something that is considered "international"
