I was informed by the Canadian High Commission in London last October that I would be interviewed some time in the next 12 to 15 months. I am in a common law relationship and have applied under humanitarian and compassionate grounds (my boyfrined is a Canadian citizen).I was wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation or has already emigrated and could give me an idea of the typical waiting time for an interview in this type of case. I have to be separated from my partner for some months and am trying to get an idea of what best to do.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.
