Visiting USA on Bunac
So, I already made a thread about this and was told not to worry, however, I have noticed the visa says, "does not allow re-entry" or something similar. Should I be worried? I leave for USA in two days and my visa doesn't expire until next year, so I don't want to go home!
Please make me feel better about this! Will I be okay to visit USA? |
Re: Visiting USA on Bunac
Not sure but best not to risk it, maybe contact bunac and ask them or even email chc, not too sure about this but i have included a link for bunac

Re: Visiting USA on Bunac
So I filled in the ESTA which I believe is mandatory now and was approved. Now, does this mean I am now eligible to travel into USA and return to Canada. I really don't wish to leave obviously!

No offence, but you seemed to get your knickers in a knot on your other thread, where people reassured you. You mentioned reading some handbook that got you all worried. And now you have started a second thread. I know the unknown can be stressful and worrying, but when I was going through an uncertain time trying to go from BUNAC to PR, I used BE, but I also used other sources to do my own research. The reassurnace, and experiences you have received on here doesn't sound like it is enough for you, so perhaps you should start doing your own research using sources that you feel are reliable. |

"does not allow re-entry" is referring to not being allowed to extend your BUNAC work permit after it expires, and not that you can't leave Canada once you are here. You could of course apply for a different sort of work permit to stay on but that is another topic.

Re: Visiting USA on Bunac
Not sure how many times people can tell you not to worry and that they have made the trip many many times.............mind you it seems you are so nervous you'll probably make a hash of it and end up getting a body cavity search because you answered yes to one of the questions you obviously answer no too.
Best bet is to stay at home in your room for the duration of your visa. |

Well, thank you for being condescending. I realise I was panicking but I just didn't want to jeopardize my working visa, but yes, people telling me they've taken the trip to US whilst on Bunac does make me feel better. Sorry if it angered you, and thank you anyway.

Just the same as when you enter the country, where did you go and why. Doesn't matter if your WP is removed as you have a visa stamp in your passport.
