Hi all Me again,
Its now been 7 weeks since my family and I completed our medicals. After our medicals I had a word with the Doctor about the exam. He informed us that we are all fit and well, and we will have not problems.

I was informed by the interviewing officer that subject to our medical we would have our visa's. If this is the case why are things taking so long for us getting our visa's.

We have a couple that have offered us the asking price on our house. I do not like keeping people hanging on without being able to give them some form of information. We have so many 3rd parties just hanging in limbo. My attorney has said that he has faxed the London CHC last week for information. but still no news.

Is there anything that I can do?
Is there anything my Canadian Attorney do?
Is there a problem with the system?

All I hear at the moment is why from a number of people using the London CHC why have they not received their Visa's after so long since having completed medicals.

Kind Regards
Steve

Hi Steven,

I believe the internal service target for CHC London is 2 months from medicals to
visa, though recently they have been averaging 4-6 weeks. Your period covered
Christmas which will have slowed things down considerably, so you should expect
closer to 2 months, than 1 month.

Having said this, your visa will not be issued until your security check is
completed. This is the main explanation for delays if your medicals are clear. This
could take many months. Have you lived in any other countries that UK? This tends to
slow it down.

It would normally be sensible to fax CHC if no response was received within 2 months.
I've never heard of the faxes ever being responded to, though occasionally the visa's
turn up a week or two later.

Ask your attorney to make a Access request for the notes on the file and you wil find
out what is happening.
