Victoria, BC
I haven't been there in years, and I had a car while there so didn't experience transit.
Anyone know how difficult it is to get around the area without a car? Is transit good enough to live there without the need of a car on a regular basis?

Also looking for first hand experiences if anyone has any.
Victoria is top of the list due to having some mental health services I need, however we are not sure about housing,.
Still have time though.

I know a lad who goes to college there and he says the bus service is pretty decent for a small NA city.
Why not learn to juggle in the winter and then you can make money busking/performing for all the tourists in the summer. From my experience around here, all you have to do is chuck a few things in the air while wearing a stupid hat and just talk a load of annoying bollocks and generally bother people who are just trying to go about their business.

Re: Victoria, BC
After speaking to the mental health office there, they cut the DBT program they had due to funding cuts, so no need to go to Victoria after all....

Bus service in "Greater Victoria" (for want of a better title) is pretty good. There are lots of them and they're frequent. There is even a service that goes up the Island, but it's slow and infrequent. Lots of students use the transit service. If I had to live in a city, Victoria would certainly be very high up the list.

I think it's pretty good, but it does depend on where you're staying/living and what time you are travelling. My kids use it all the time for school/uni, but we are lucky and live on the #11 route which runs frequently to and from UVIC. There are good connections to the ferry and then into downtown.

Thanks for the info on the transit system.
