Vehicle Requirements?
I've tried a search but im not finding what im after. Basically i need info on whats required to put a car on the road aside from insurance. I've been seeing things like "E-cert" and "Not registered" when viewing car's for sale and i dont know what it means. Are they they equivalent of road tax and MOT?
Cheers Oh i'll be in Ontario if that makes any difference. |

Cheers Oh i'll be in Ontario if that makes any difference. http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dan...le/index.shtml http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dan...d.shtml#buying "etest and safetied" means its good to go and has the valid paperwork (or can easily get them). Generally cars sold without them need some pricey work done to get them to pass. You also need to pay the sales tax on the assesed value at the time of registering. That assessed value is not necessarily what you paid for the vehicle either, in the unlikely event that paid less than the book wholesale value. |
Re: Vehicle Requirements?
Does that sales tax include privately bought used cars?
