VAT on SIPP Management fees
Hoping someone might have some insight on this. The company that manages my pension in the UK have for the last 10 years charged me VAT on their fees, despite living in Canada. My accountants and lawyers, however, whenever they raise an invoice have not as I am not resident in the UK. I have asked on several occasions why they are charging and their response is that it is due. I have researched as best I could online and my understanding is that NO VAT should be charged.
Does anyone have any knowledge or first-hand experience that might confirm 1 way or the other? |
