I used to sleep like a baby listening to it hammering off the roof in N Van.

I love katkam brings back many memories, stanley park in summer, stanley park in snow, rare but walking down by the bridge and the many homeless souls under it, english bay and our stay there. I love vans rain, its like the tropical rain we get here, but cold however friends always remind me its not so lovely after months of it.

where are you jan? sounds nice.

fog would be ok, we have cold and drizzle here (southampton uk) and its getting annoying, rain i can deal with but this sticky wet cloud hovering UGH.

had a follow up question from one the companies we saw two weeks ago, checking dh's qualifications ( not being a canadian crane driver i must have slipped on his resume one of the terminologies was off, i checked everything i could online) but at least they didnt throw it away.

Our spare bedroom on north shore used to have a similar view. I miss those western sunsets and the grey silhouette of the mountains on the Island.
