Using a Realtor to find rentals

Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but just wondered if anyone had used a Realtor to help find rental properties please?

Not many Realtors deal in Residential Rentals, but some do, generally they are with Brokers who specialise in Rentals.

Ask around, and search the net...... Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Were hoping to get the help of the most wonderful helpful Realtor to find us short and long term rentals when we arrive in Calgary in August/September:thumbup: He offers immigration/relocation assistance alongside his Realtor role. Wonderful wonderful man.

Where are you trying to find a rental? PM me if it's in the Calgary area and I can share more information.

I'm a Realtor and I help people find rental accommodation as part of the free relocation service I provide.

You will find many of the Realtors who offer relocation assistance have a number of contacts for short term and long term rentals.

I spend quite a bit of my time previewing and arranging rental properties for people, it's all part of the service we provide.

We used a realtor to help find a house in Ottawa. It was an efficient way to find a house during a very short recce trip although by ignoring the privately listed market we seriously limited our options.

In Alberta to be a professional property manager you also have to be a realtor. Some companies employ realtors to be the property manager for that company.

I now do property management, as well as buy and sell real estate. I have over 60 units on my books. Furnished and unfurnished, short and long term.

Two years ago the rules changed in Alberta and those who have qualified to be a realtor in the last two years have had to do a special additional course in property management.

Pm me if you want to know more about property management,

We used a realtor before we even moved here so that he could get some properties lined up for us to see when we landed. we found a house within the first week of landing. though we later found out that being in a condo meant not being able to have our dog with us, so make sure that you become familiar with some of the renters terminolgy before starting.

When we arrived , we stayed in a hotel for 8 days and learnt of rentfaster.ca and bingo !!!! we found a great house ( fully furnished). The houses on this site are advertised by the owners so there was no need of a middle man.
