Re: Unsure where to go
No offence taken................... I break into a sweat at the thought of having to move to a big city for work!!

Yeah, that's true. People mistake the wet winters on the coast as 'the weather' on the coast and assume it's like that all year when in fact it hardly ever rains at all in the late spring/summer/early autumn - most summers are there are water shortages, no camping because of tinder dry forests, people burnt like lobsters, zero clouds, etc... but thankfully without the humidity or intense heat of other places - it always cools off at night. Still... boring sunsets most of the time and no thunder and lightening... earthquakes can make up for that... but they're too infrequent. |

Dont you know that Calgarians need those pickup trucks to drive the kids to school? Totally agree, but all Albeta people drive like maniacs (ask the rest of Canada). |

Where is Sardis? I can't find it on the maps...

So, you are still very close to were the action is. And our summers are excellent- 30-35 degrees and virtually no rain at all for 3 months. Last summer it only rained once for 1 hour entire july and august. So, think again. |

Saw it... thanks..so basically, it is Chilliwack. I think Chilliwack has lots of rain, almost 50% more than Vancouver.

Link to Environment Canada Monthly averages for Chilliwack for 2003 and previous years. One for Abbotsford and one for Vancouver for the years 2004 and previous. There have also been some comments regarding the smells in and around Chilliwack in the spring and summer. I believe that people are referring to the smell of manure but I'm not positive about that.
