Default Unofficial Visitation Extension

Is it possible to receive a minor visitation extension without going through the regular applications that require a month? For example if a car had broken down and transportation would not be possible for a week or more, yet your visitors pass expires before your car is fixed, is there a department you can contact and request an extension until you have the means to leave the country? If so who would you contact, and if not suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Citizenship and Immigration. They are the only department. You could try going to a border crossing and speaking with an immigration officer. If however you visitor permit has expired you could be kicked out.
