Re: Uk T.V.s in Canada
How does a UK Pal DVD played thru a multi-standard DVD player on a normal NTSC TV loo like ?
with the different frames per second - if your well into this - what would i think of the picture ?
does it look jerky or too fast ?
i'm thinking - myulti-standard ntsc / pal tv would be worth it
then i will ditch my old 32" crt in the uk

I brought over a multi-region DVD player from the UK along with my collection of PAL DVDs. I discovered that some LCD TVs sold in Canada are actually PAL capable but they are not advertised as such. Sony Bravia and Toshiba Regza models can accept a PAL signal without any problems but it is not mentioned in the specs. I have both of these TVs. I also have a 26" Samsung LCD but this is NTSC only.

The PS3 is worth every penny (cent) and Sony subsidize its manufacture in a big way ! (makes most of its money on the games)

You were not exactly being very helpful by telling us all you could watch all UK channels but then not enlightening us with how you or your friend achieved this extremely unlikely happening.
