UK State Pension to CPP?
 
Does anyone know if its possible to transfer what would be paid under the UK State Pension to CPP in Canada?

I know nothing of this, but isn't the UK State Pension more akin to OAS in Canada than CPP.

No that would be absurd. You haven't 'saved' anything TO transfer. You have paid for others' pensions. Likewise, the current/future working population will pay for yours.

Hence the "pensions crisis", you may have heard about it in the newspapers.

Disregarding the UK aspect altogether.

I could be wrong but I don't believe it is possible in any way to transfer anything in to CPP nor is it possible to buy back previous years.

Ive just bought back 6 years @ approx 600 pounds p/annum which will mean I will receive the full UK pension when I retire in 10 years-The qualifying period is now 30 years contributions NOT 44 years
