UK PSYCHIATRIC NURSE. . I THINK I AM NEARLY THERE!!

Hello all, after a lengthy process of applying to NNAS and having a report of comparable I have applied to CARNA and been told I just need to sit the RNPCE and then if I pass I will be eligible to work as a Nurse in Alberta. Yay!!.

Now I am worrying about how I will find work in Alberta and the process of securing a job from the UK. I do not have enough points for express entry so will need a job offer before I move to Alberta. Does anyone know how this would work and whether it is difficult or not? Do I just look online and apply for any MH Nursing job I would like and then explain that I am in the UK but am registered to practice in Alberta

As soon as I am offered a job I can move to Alberta but I am not sure how willing employers are to hiring people who are not yet in the country!! Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks

Could you apply for a provincial nominee programme? It isn’t solely dependent on points then. Other factors, such as profession are taken into account. I don’t know if Alberta has a healthcare programme like BC does but it could be worth a shot?
