UK Pension advice

This came on my FB feed but I think you have to have a pension of a certain type to be able to use the service (Defined Contribution Pensions):

https://www.pensionwise.gov.uk/en

Because when I answered the questions, the result was that I probably had a Defined Benefit Pension and should try these people who are funded by the DWP:

Re: UK Pension advice

The Pension Advisory service (TPAS) is a government sponsored service by the Department of Work and Pensions. They are there to advise you on State, company AND personal pensions.

Before you can move a private pension into Income drawdown, your pension provider is required to ask if you have consulted withe the TPAS.

You can arrange a meeting in person with a TPAS at your local council offices or you can make an appointment online for them to call you. Suggest you chat online with TPAS using this link https://www.pensionsadvisoryservice.org.uk/chat
