That is funny but not constructive! I can buy a ticket to the euromillions if I live in france. In which case I am not a resident of UK or Isle of Man.
This is the phrase i am interested in" You must also only play in a country where it is lawful to do so" There are various website here (Canada) that will allow me to purchase a ticket in various countries lotteries.
Are there any laws in canada that prevent me playing the uk lottery. If I have to pay tax on the winnings then I accept that, I just don't want to complicate the event by breaking the law as well.

In both the U.S. and Canada, it's illegal to play a foreign lottery - through the mail or on the telephone or Internet. Don't add insult to injury by inviting federal charges.

I bought a ticket when i was on my working visa in canada and won £26.... a few days later i got an email from the national lottery saying i was breaking the law and any further ticket purchases would not be honored if winners. So not any point of doing so really. If you really need a lottery 'fix' then just try your hand at one of the canadian ones. I dont think you really need £85,000,000 anyway - although we all agree it would be nice!
