Default UK BT DECT Phones in Canada

In my continued effort to reuse as much as I can (tight arse I know), has anyone taken their UK DECT phones to Canada.

I'm looking at this on Amazon, will it work?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...A2A924GII7IGV4

I know DECT phones aren't that expensive to buy, but if i can convert my existing one for a couple of quid then why not!

Thanks.

You'll need new power supplies or a voltage converter for the existing ones (the local voltage is 110 not 230) and a different cable to connect to the phone socket (RJ45 on both ends) but, otherwise they'll work fine.

The cost of a voltage converter (it's not just the volts but also the hertz) for each handset will outweigh the replacement cost.
