I've had it up to here Millie (just look how high my hand is). I struggle through March and April especially; I want green grass, spring bulbs, and warmth. Not little teases then -10 and another dump. July, August and September are good though!

It'll be better soon enough, its nearly springtime. I think the way to survive the winters where you live is to build in a couple of warm weather breaks to give yourself something to look forward too. West Palm Beach or Boca Raton are nice or if you're feeling adventurous, go to a Caribbean island. Plus, booze can help.

It's not that freezing here and the forecast is for just a few cm., but I'm really fed up too. As soon as the snow diminishes enough to plod down to all the fallen trees in the backyard which came down in the ice storm before Christmas, I'll have to deal with them. (Not personally of course, but it'll cost kilo bucks to clean it all out).

F**k that for a lark. Oh yes, birds, remember having them?

Ah Millie, I can't even begin to describe how averse to winter I am... I totally know where you're coming from, and believe it or not I am probably worse than you right now.

I hate it. Year after year I dread the winter coming, I like no aspect of it other than the fact that there are a few days off school due to the snow. But I would happily go to school those few days in exchange for warmer weather. I dread it so much I can't even go outside. Its to the car and back in. I don't even own a pair of winter boots thats how averse I am to it. I dread it so much that I plan on emigrating from here, 60% of the reason is the climate. The other 40% is a good chunk of other stuff. I really hope that after this week we get some warmer weather.

I was the only person not shivering and complaining about the cold today at the bus stop. It's +1, windchill -6. I can only think that the other parents have very short memories.

Never mind the birds, this has been in our yard the last couple of days. It must be spring!

I've been seeing dead skunks on the roads. That's my indicator for spring.

Why? What's so bad about opossums?

My kids naturally want to adopt it as its fluffy with a cute pink nose. I count it a plus every time I come home and its not set up in our basement with a bowl of cat food to nibble on!

I have two sheds. I haven't been able to get near either for months. One of them may well not even be there anymore. I can't see it from the back door and I can't remember when the last time was I actually went into the back yard.
