If you look at the top (or bottom in some cases) of the replies you'll see a reply\quote.

Any ideas on what to pack and places to visit. Will be looking at properties as there is a possibility if we like what we see of emigrating there in about 12 months time?
Hi

We did the trip last August.

Try going via Kamloops one way and returning via Kelowna the other. Both are lovely places to stay for a day or two.

In Vancouver the kids will like Grouse Mountain with the lumberjack show.

Obviously do Banff and Lake Louise, and try Golden, which is an up and coming town.

Tons of places to stay and the roads are safe.

Have a good one

All well and good but if you're looking for relocation research rather than a vacation then priorities may lie elsewhere and time better spent getting a real feel for the non-tourist aspects of BC, which is where most people would find employment, apart from The Okanagan which has a strong focus on leisure, lifestyle and tourism.

We weren't very impressed with Golden - looked very insular, drab and run down, and maybe could be boring/limiting perhaps in deepest winter time ?

My 2c.
