Travel trailers aka caravans
So I know vehicles have to be registered & insured in the province you'll be living in, but what's the score with a travel trailer? If I buy one in Alberta to save on PST do I need to tell anyone when I bring it into BC?
I'm asking as some appear to have a car fax report available when looking at dealers websites which implies they need to be treated like a vehicle and registered, insured etc etc
Alternatively, and this is a long shot, if I bought one in Alberta or even the States (have family in both places) on my next short trip in April 2023 and left it in Alberta/USA and then when I land as a settler in say Sept 2023 in BC, can I have the trailer as an item on my goods to follow list to avoid paying duty/PST on it when I bring it into BC?
Thanks
