Another thing that might be worth trying is to appeal to OHIP to see if you can get your coverage started sooner. You have to go via their head office. You could also try your future MP or MPP to see if they can help with appealing to OHIP. We had problems getting ours started and our MPP was very helpful. The MP not so but he's a waste of space anyway.

Anyway, try the MPP's offices, nothing to lose there.
