Travel insurance and 3 month health care cover
Hi all
Will fly out to Ontario on 14th June and wondering if someone could give me some advise on travel insurance (One way trip) and health care cover for 3 months (Got one quote for a family of 4 £450!!!!
) . Sharing any experience you may have would be a great help.

Spooky. I'll be on my way to Toronto on the 14th June as well (one-way ticket).
Assuming you're becoming a PR on that day I don't believe standard travel insurance will be any good. You need to invest in the three-months gap insurance prior to the provincial cover kicking-in. And yeah it's not cheap. But in the grand scheme of emigrating to Canada it's down in the noise.

We used Canada Sure for our gap insurance. We didn't need it so cannot comment on whether they are any good if you need to claim. http://canadasure.com/ Their premiums were on par with others we looked at.
