Hi,
I'm looking to go and watch a game during my visit in December. The TML's are playing against: Cyotes, Bruins, Sabres & Canadiens. I would like to know what game would be the best one to see. It's going to be my first hockey game (in Canada) so I haven't got a clue:o Thanks for any help:) ps: I'm the Aussie who added you to facebook last night lol :P |
Re: Toronto Maple Leafs
well, they don't call them the "Laughs" for nothing. The leafs have sucked for generations, although they have a competent coach and a new general manager who is focusing on building a tough defensive corps. Don't expect much in the way of offense from the leafs. Given the teams the OP mentioned I would likely choose Boston if possible as they will have a strong team. Buffalo and Montreal have a good rivalry with Toronto but neither of those teams are likely to be the caliber of Boston. Phoenix is awful and needs a new home.

Re: Toronto Maple Leafs
Maple leaf tickets? rare as rocking horse s**t!!!!!!!
although i did get playoff tickets back in 01 by just walking up to the box office and they had a cancelation - leafs beat the sens 3 - 2 in OT. It was one of the best atmospheres at a sporting event that i have been to. ( I am a lifelong stoke city fan and for those that know about these things that is saying something!! :D ) no such luck last few times though :( would also suggest that if you cant get tickets before the day go down to the box office on the day and ask what time they are handing out wristbands - if there are any tickets available at the last minute they allocate them to people with wristbands on 1st come 1st served basis. failing that would def go to the loose moose on front st. |
Re: Toronto Maple Leafs
We went to see the Leafs against Ottawa last Christmas and paid $75 a ticket from a scalper. Decent seats good atmosphere and I'll be doing the same this year.
