TORONTO has Changed
What was once a promising North American city, has fallen into last place in every single category in the Canadian business magazines and other media sections. Toronto's infrastructure is falling apart due to the lack of money. Highway systems and other infrastructure are not being kept well, and are often not up to date.
Most often when turning into news, 90% of the local news is about negative aspects of the city and the surrounding region. Toronto was once a very safe city compare to other major cities. Even though Toronto has still low number of crime comparing to other cities. You have to take into the population factor as well though. The crime scene in Toronto will only get worse due to the lack of professional jobs and many large companies moving out of Toronto. If you need more information, please pick up the Canadian Business Magazine September Issue. READ MORE ABOUT IT. And yes by the way - TORONTO is not the centre of the UNIVERSE PEOPLE |

Re: TORONTO has Changed
Well can't really say like every other place on earth, cause there are still many other cities which I have not visited.
But yes I guess the world is changing and more of the cities are becoming unsafe, and unreliable. Where are you exactly from ?

As for being the centre of the Universe, I agree, it isn't. But it's a lot closer than Dubai. |
Re: TORONTO has Changed
Well Very sorry if you find my posting very rubbish.
Actually this is not a rubbish fact, but only recent news and studies which was done by the Canadian business magazine. As I mentioned you can pick up this magazine, if you are living in Canada. If not then I am sorry you may find it on the net. As a resident of Toronto for the past 19 years, I am only speaking by my experience and others experience. I did not say Dubai was close to being the centre of the universe either. If you read correctly. Although it is moving in the rigth position, Dubai has good future ahead of them by implementing a right infrastructure from the begining. In all resepct, unfortunatley Canada and the US have lost many aspect of their governmental controls starting from their gun control leading down to their foreign policy. In regards to RIOTS. I am sorry but don't they have riots every weekend in England. Even with Football matches, they have riots therefore please do not tell me about riots. Therefore please make your remarks by having a backup. As far as I am concerned that is the only way to speak. Have a great night.

Re: TORONTO has Changed
Once again thank you for your compliments coming from you.
I am not here to go back and forth with your posting. Therefore if you do have any intelligent remarks, or comments, then drop them by, if not then there is absolutley no reason to hear them. We already hear most of it from politicians and governments. :D

Re: TORONTO has Changed
Ho Ho, if you've lived in Canada for 19 years you'll probably melt in the first week of living in dubai.
Still tax free place and it'll definitely help with your obvious drinking problem. |

Re: TORONTO has Changed
Had the option to move to Toronto. Mind was made up on the taxi ride from the airport to hotel (seriously). Why anyone would want to move from the popn density of the UK to Toronto is beyond me.
Would help if the public transport was a bit more stroller/wheelchair friendly also. |

Re: TORONTO has Changed
I just saw Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa since I am in Canada(august) and it is true Toronto lacks something there is in Montreal regarding quality of life.
People in Montreal are complaining and saying Montreal sucks when they compare themselves to Toronto (yet they hate Toronto). Everybody, everywhere is just whining (like in France where people are so desesperate it gets funny) |

Your turn: why the rude reply, and why do you think the post was rubbish? To everyone else. Why all the aggression towards the poster? They're simply putting forward their point of view based on their observations of 19 years of living in that city. What exactly is the problem? |

If as you say the quality of life is better then what is there to complain about. Regarding France, from my experiences the French are a lot more content and happy with life than the British. |

Re: TORONTO has Changed
WOW I see that with my true postings I have created such a touchy feeling for all you people out there. Don't you worry. Your Canada is still a wonderful nation to be discovered, just not TORONTO. That's all.
And with all these bashings from your side, it seems very typical of a TORONTONIAN to be bashing others. That is just the normal way. Toronto bashing ottawa toronto bashing montreal toronto bashing province of quebec toronto bashing United States toronto bashing United States beacuse of their city's gun control. It's just a typical TORONTO thing. TO bash. and obviously Once again you have proven with your replies. Enjoy you city, and your centre of the Universe. But please do not emberass yourselves by comparing your city to New York,Chicago, Los Angeles, Montreal and Londons. Toronto does not even come close to those cities. |

I dont live in Toronto, and wouldnt want to, but what you are expressing is just an opinion. its neither right or wrong, so try and keep things in perspective. Your comments about weekly riots in england certainly exposed a level of ignorance about the way things are there. I hope you find what you are looking for in Dubai. We get the message, you dont like Toronto. That doesnt mean that everyone will agree, and plenty of other studies have rated Toronto pretty well. |

From a write who posted in regards to Toronto, expressed that there is Riots in Birmingham. Don't get me wrong, I do like Toronto, but not what Toronto is turning out to be. That is why I did mention, that it was once a great city. But hey who am I, all you need to do is read the articles in latest magazines about the city's cost of living, and cost of going business and the city's living standard. that's all I said. Nothing to bash England. Trust ME
