Time takes complete Canada Immigration process !

Hello,
I applied for Canada Immigration through Buffalo, NY and I would like to know how long it takes whole process. How much time takes to get Accessment and Medical forms after getting Acknowledgement of Reciept(AOR) ? Is it any delay in PR processing after this attack? If I goto India or UAE for the time I get the medical forms, then how can I do the medical? Can I do it from UAE or India? If it possible which are locations ?
