Time I said hello

Well, I have been lurking and reading on this forum for about three years now so it is really time I introduced myself :)

I am a soldier coming to the end of 30 years service next year. I am looking to go to Nova Scotia but also have New Brunswick and PEI in mind as alternatives. The NS community sponsored route looks most interesting.

I am an Aircraft Technician by trade and I am studying for IT Quals (MCSA) this year prior to my release. Hoping to get a job around Halifax Airport.

I have a wife, two boys, six dogs and a scabby cat to move with me  so things should be interesting.

Just wanted to say hello to everyone as I think my post count will be rising over the next few months as I start serious planning for my move.

IMP Aerospace at Halifax Airport are the people you want to talk to about a job. They have a number of military contracts for both Canadian and US govts.

Check out the careers section of their website here: http://www.impgroup.com/careers/en_S...px?DivCode=HIA

Try pm'ing poster 'dkvl' (although she hasn't been online lately). Her husband works for IMP Aerospace I believe.

Hello and welcome to BE spook.:D My partner and I will have been here 3 year in June. We gained our residency via the PNP Community Identified route which took 8 months. We live up on the North Shore 1 1/2hrs drive from the airport and 2hrs from Charlottetown PEI. We just love it here. Just PM me if you would like any info on that route. I am sure you will have no problem finding a position at the airport I often see positions of that nature being advertised.

Hi there undecidedandunsure :D You will have no problem finding a position on PEI or here on the North Shore (18miles across the water) of Nova Scotia. This is a ad for positions locally http://www.careerbeacon.com/search/en/-1/3/62/236
House prices here on the North Shore are very reasonable, especially for such a beautiful location. This link shows some properties that are very close to were the above jobs are based. http://www.mls.ca/PropertyResults.as...of=1&ps=10&o=A
Just thought it will give you some idea of what is available. If you want any info on the PNP CI route just PM me.

You have scared me now!

I have never seen any regulations on how many dogs you can have in Canada, just that they have to be licenced?

Spook - try Todd Tomnacheck and Canadian Helicopters..... My OH did 22 years, left as a Lynx pilot/QHI and was offered work with these guys and they would LMO too. I think that will be the case for tecs too....

If you need any more info give me a PM, big step we know - so all the best to you and yours
