How much is a cup of Timmies? And how much is Starbucks over there?
Both small cups. Thanks!:) Do they not have websites? |
Re: Tim Hortons or Starbucks?
Starbucks overpriced, Timmies vile but sometimes a neccessary evil.
McDonalds coffee way better as is that available at Irving gas stations. Coffee available at work even better as its free! |
Re: Tim Hortons or Starbucks?
Id never really thought of timmies and starbucks as selling to the same demographic or being in competition particularly....
Timmies is the everyman coffee, cheap and cheerful. No triple barreled product names and pretentious sizes, largely a classless product, bought by all elements of society here. Starbucks is not really the same product, even though its coffee, its in a different price strata completely, and has its own social clique. Ive drunk a lot more timmies than starbucks here thats for sure. Not a huge fan of the coffee, but it does the job and you know what you are going to get when you oeder, regardless of where in the country you are. |

Don't really care for Starbuck or Second cup. There is much better around. |
Re: Tim Hortons or Starbucks?
Can we not have another option for the UK side of things?! I hate Starbucks, it's so weak and doesn't even taste like real coffee.
If the choice were between Timmies and somewhere else like Costa Coffee then I'd choose the latter, but anything would win over Starbucks for me so I'd have to vote Timmies!! |

Re: Tim Hortons or Starbucks?
Another huge Tim Hortons fan here.
I do like Starbucks for an occasional change, but agree with G77 that IT is overpriced. I don't know how you can say that about Timmy's? - I would say it is really good value. |

A small Timmies is around $1.40 ish I think. Starbucks I'd like to say about $2.50 for just normal Coffee - but don't go in there often enough to know. For something like a large Caramel Macchiato - you won't have much change left out of $5...

Re: Tim Hortons or Starbucks?
It's $1.29 for a medium here, taxes in. Not sure about a small, probably about 10c cheaper. If you want to pay even less money - take your own cup and pay the cheaper "refill" prices.
And, um, if you're very nice and polite with your English accent at the drive-through, it's sometimes free ;) One time I was given free cup with a heart drawn on the top of it

A tall (i.e. small) fresh brewed coffee at Starbucks is about $1.80? It is certainly less than $2.00 including tax.

So who's doing a Timmies run then?
