temp work permit

Hi I am new to all this and wonder if someone would be kind enough to give
some advice, i am aware we can visit Canada and stay for six months without a visa being UK citizens, but i would like to stay for six months every year and work as a non-skilled person, would this be possible and lawful.
Our plan is to buy a house in Nova Scotia and hopefully get work on a golf course.

Hi there

You are right that as a UK citizen that you can stay for up to 6 months in Canada on a visitor permit.

However, you will be unable to work without a temporary work permit.

If you are able to secure a job then you can ask the employer to go for an LMO which is the prerequisite for a TWP - do a forum search in the immigration forum for information on LMO's and TWP's and also check out the WIKI pages too for brief information.

If you can buy a house outright then I dont think there is anything stopping you from doing this but think it is a different matter if you are not a PR or on
TWP for mortgage purposes.

Thank you for that, we can't get enough points for perm move so i want to buy a house and live in Canada for six months and work whilst there, now i know to look for a job before hand, will have to come back to Englan for the other 6 months till i figure something else out.
Wife and myself now detest England the way it is now , never thought i would feel like that, i suppose we are lucky to live in a really nice part of England.
