Telus- $10 u.k calling

Ive been with telus for two years and was told they didn't have a discount bundle for U.K calling , although i remember them mentioning something but the monthly cost exceeded the amount I was going over.

After calling in today I was advised they have introduced a new 'bundle' $10 per month international calling incl U.K and many other countries IF you have phone, internet and cable.

Didn't know if this would interest anyone:thumbsup:

If you've got decent internet speed, try Skyping to a phone number.

I topped up 10 GBP (was a UK-registered Skype account) in November and have still got 5 GBP left, despite calling the UK every week for some reason or other.

I've even got a bluetooth phone handset, so it's just like using the phone!

Not new though, we've have had that with Telus (landline) for the last 10 years. It is 1000 minutes.

They have for $20 a month now unlimited calling North America and International (incl UK).

If you live within a few miles of the USA border in BC (which applies to rather a lot of people), particularly near Abbotsford for example, you may either have no cell phone signal at all, or a USA one...

Also in BC, they have those mountain thingys. I know they are a bit uncommon where you are!

I suspect I fall under your definition of "old geezer". My parental units & many other relatives are even older geezers ;). While I've managed to convert most of them to Skype/Viber, some of 'em are still die-hard landline-lubbers, so yeah, cheap deals as above mentioned are still relevant. :)
