No, you were serious. Now you're just trying to cover it up with an insult. :D

Take your pick. It's out of my hands.

What a weak and limp reply - it has to be the mother of all cop-outs. You only want to give answers if they make you look good. Don't try that in court - judges don't like it.

Go back to the first post and re-read the entire thread. Then you'll understand what's going on. :D

It's always nice to bounce a few issues off the wall and hear the echo. :D

Nope... it’s not out of your hands...

But an honest answer may make us take some notice of your opinion or cause us to reconsider our own opinions..

However I would suggest that this answer has done nothing more than marginalize the opinion you’ve been putting forward..
And for many it has just completely undermined your credibility and possibly even further damaged your side of what may have been a very valid argument,
based on this I would suggest that you either consider being more open in discussions like this or do the others defending this or a similar position a favour and stay out..

If you really want to carry on this pissing contest could you please use the PM system and spare us all the trouble. Is anyone learning anything about teaching up north here?

Ian

the old adage on the NET is if you don't like the topic, then don’t click on it..

That response was no better than an incitement, even a temptation to start a pissing contest....

You’ll notice this has been edited as I have toned down my immediate response to your comments

I did like the topic, but there seems to be little discussion of it at the moment, and a lot of petty bickering about whose opinion is most valid, which hopefully we all agree is stupid as everyones opinion is as valid as the next.

I PMd you.

Well of course not everyone's opinion (or rather testimony) is as valid as the next - ask any jurist.

Re: teaching in Nunavut

Well, we all know that your opinion is always correct :p

Fortunatley this is not a court of law, otherwise I think most of us here would be up for contempt!

Hopefully (although probably not) jurists are considering facts, not opinions.

I'm not going to tell anyone what to think, and I am not going to waste any more time discussing it.

Gee thanks, that's quite a compliment coming from the owner of the website. :p

Seriously, I have to agree with MikeUK, your responses are no better than an incitement, even a temptation to start a pissing contest (with both of us).... and I don't see you adding to any information regarding teaching in Nunavut with your comments. I was making the point that alcoholism/substance abuse is a significant problem in Nunavut - I think that's a relevant issue that will affect his/her students.

Some more links if you want to teach. Jobs are usually advertised on Education Canada or in some of the Western papers, such as the Calgary Herald. It will be a major culture shock :scared: but just like everything good and bad points.
