Tax returns
Hi,
I was wondering if I am entitled to any tax benefits whilst I work in Canada. I have spoken to people in the past who say they have got rebates? Any help in relation to this issue would be appreciated. Thanks Antony |

Re: Tax returns
I am not a resident of Canada, I am here on a twp, I have a wife and a 2 year old child. My wife is not working so do I get credit for them?
Is there anything I can claim or get credit for? |

Re: Tax returns
In Ontario you can claim your wife's tax free allowance. There are other deduction available as someone who has arrived this year. You will need to declare any world wide earning and tax paid.
We sought professional help for our first tax return to ensure we maximized our refund and also to learn about the system and process. |

Is there anything I can claim or get credit for? If you have filled in the TD1 and TD1 prov. this will give you all the allowances you can get at source. What others you can apply for depend on your personal circumstances and have to be applied for separately or claimed on your tax return. CCTB is calculated after you have filed your first tax return and get your notice of assessment. |
