Tax refund

I usually file my taxes by snail mail, printing the papers from the excellent quick tax service online.

This year we decided to use Netfile for the first time. After submitting the files, I logged into my CRA account to see if the returns had been received. To my shock they had already been assessed and completed. Wow, a mere 24hrs later!

We have direct deposit for our refunds, gst, child tax etc. Just wondering do they do the refund deposits once or twice a week, or just whenever each return is assessed? We eagerly waiting to buy some treats!!!

Here`s a strange one. I checked my account summary/balance and it shows my 2008 return as being assessed on March 12th:confused: Yet, I checked on the morning of the 5th and it was done then.

Eagerly awaiting my refund :D

Just enjoyed a pleasant bout of the flu (a real flu, not cold!), layed up in bed for two weeks. Mrs Kosh dropped off my sick note and as thanks my employer fired me two days later for taking time off :( He suggested I look for something else. Dodgy employer anyway, I reported him for not bothering to give any pay stubbs most of the time with crappy excuses - still waiting for my ROE from them too.

Went to working standards in Dieppe, was told not much they can do as I had been working there less than 6 months. Said something about applying at human rights, mentioned takes months, lots of papers - I lost interest and went looking for another job which I found and start on Thursday.

How`s Riverview treating you? Was over there yesterday and still hate the 5`o clock along Coverdale Rd!!!

It takes about 2 weeks from Net-Filing your return to having your refund in your bank.

I use the new road - Gunningsville Boulevard. I am home in 6 minutes from downtown. I feel the same about going anywhere near Champlain St ;)

Yeah, another area I like to avoid, the stretch from Superstore down to Acadie Av. Traffic in Dieppe is getting bad.

We moved from Dieppe late last year, we`re now up near Magnetic hill.
