Tax question from a foreign business / employee.
I'm moving to Australia soon for work but my Canadian employer has asked me to carry on working for them remotely.
I can't see this being a problem for now as I still have my Canadian PR but I guess once that has expired I will need to bill them from Australia as a business?
Or should I just bill them as a business anyway to save on having mess about with my tax returns and declaring foreign income.

Interesting, I didn't know this, I'm moving to Australia to spend time with family it might be a permenant move but not sure yet. I will still be doing 20-30 hours a week for the Canadain company while I'm in Australia I just thought that if I spend is it 2+ years outside of Canada I would lose my PR.

Very unlikely you would retain PR when out of the country, unless the employee is a government or military employee on overseas deployment. If travel is a requirement of work and implemented by the employer there are cases where it might be accepted.
My office was considered 'Canadian' when I was working, the aircraft were Canadian registered and I could not work without traveling.
For most, to maintain PR they would have to be accompanying a Canadian citizen spouse.
