Summer Flights
 

We have just looked at flights in JUly/August. We knew that they would be higher. However to Calgary/Edmonton they are £2600 approx with AC for 4 of us one way.

Canadian Affair £1700 to Calgary and £1900 to Edmonton one way

BA costs over £8000 for 4 of us on economy !!!! I knew they were losing money but at this cost nobody will fly with them surely.

Any other ideas on cheaper ways ?

book return and put the return date in low season and just dont use it thats what we did

Westjet:

Calgary to Edmonton is $99 per person each way - 4 adults - (direct flight, non stop) departing on 30th July .


cost of Total:

Single fare: Total: 588.56 CAD including taxes.

Air Transat:

London Gatwick departing 3rd August to Edmonton (direct flight, non stop) 4 adults, £549 pp

Total price: Single: 2196.00 UK£ *** I am not sure this is correct, the flight is operated by Thomas Cook..

Air Canada

30th July, 4 adults LHR>Calgary>Edmonton (2 hour stop over) Total charge for 4 adults Total - pounds Sterling £2964.40 GBP

Did you quote this online? Give Canadian Affair's London Office a call and ask for a quote....usually much cheaper over the phone randomly enough?!

For what it's worth, we booked return flights too which worked out a lot cheaper.

As others have said, book at return. Try www.skyscanner.net to find the cheapest dates.

Be wary of skyscanner though....they scrape info from each website so many times a day....it isnt always live availability / prices.
