Hi

Welcome to the forum. Where in Canada are you from yourself? It is such a long drawn out process waiting for the immigration paperwork, but all the best and good luck!

Hi Anne,

Welcome to the forum.

I understand about feeling homesick. However, if it's any consolation, the spousal (or equivalent) sponsorship route is way quicker than the skilled worker route, which many members of this forum have travelled or are travelling, and which currently is taking upwards of 4 years.

That said, I hope your and your partner's application will be approved ASAP and that we soon will be able to say, "Welcome home."

Very true..and I could be waiting in alot worse places than the South of England in the spring :) it is beautiful here.

Just missing my kids and grandaughter back in Canada ...Im sure hoping they accept me as a sponsor and we don't have to do the skilled worker visa.
We finished our last minute photo copying tonight and our package is getting mailed tomorrow or friday if i can get a courier to take it, but with easter it will probably sit until tuesday. So Im hoping things go smooth for us and we are looking at 6-12 months ....still smiling :p but its early days yet

A bit late but welcome.

Hampshire huh?, Lovely county to have to spend time waiting in, especially if near the New Forest and coastal views!

Hopefully joining BE will help to pass the wait for you, can get quite entertaining around these parts you know!

Robin:)

Thanks for the welcome's,
No ocean view here in hampshire... but i am a stuck_canuck in an annex on a equestrian horse farm with a great few ...could be worse :)
Im being very productive with my time while I am here and should be a online poker pro by the time I return to Canada....Im also practicing my accent while I wait.....Am I Bovered...Do I Look Bovered....I even got the Liverpool accent down ....Ya No Wha A Mainn....
I am having a laugh and it is a wonderful country..but very expensive, and the pub culture here is something Canada could certainly use....I hope you Brit's can get it moving when you arrive..You can teach us Canadian's how to drink a pint with a good head and we can teach you how to roll up the rimmm....for a free donut...if your lucky :curse:

What's your stories...where you from...where you heading
Still Smiling ....Anne:D
