Stocking up before leaving....CANADA

Okay - we have had the "what food do you miss most from the UK" thread....so what food would you miss the most if you had to leave Canada?

I am currently addicted to Philly Light Strawberry flavour - though am doubting it's dieticiousness when you eat a whole pot in one go...!

Never had one - purely because they look so good I will have to eat everyone that is ever made!

My fairer half has recently started on the weight watchers program (completely unnecessary but she says it's important so I'm trying to offer support). One day we were talking about where various foodstuffs fell on the table of 'points' and I was aghast at how much normal things 'cost'. I asked how much a choccie bar was and after a search she said 'There isn't a listing for chocs, I guess nobody on the program is stupid enough to admit to eating them' .lol.

Sod calories anyway, it's all about exercise.

Totally true.

Input > Output = Fatty......

....Monitoring your food intake does help though. I can email you my WW spreadsheet I used to use for my own personal dietary needs. Out of all the nutrition/diet things I have tried, I find WW the best. If you want to eat what you want (in moderation) that is. If you want a better way of life, then choose Atkins.

So long as you equate heart disease with a better way of life.

Not sure which book your OH is using but the one I have details all food categories, including sweets and chocolates. WW advocates healthy eating and recognises that we all need our "fix" of goodies.

When I lived in England my 'care packages' contained these foods:

canned pumpkin
engevita yeast powder
canned chipotle peppers
packages of hot wasabi peas ;)
various SE Asian and Mexican food stuffs (hot sauces, soup stocks, spices, sushi stuff)
Cheez Whiz :o
Okanagan fruit leather
Hawkin's Cheezies
Ibarra chocolate
Coffee Crisps
my fav coffee beans

Ideally I would have liked:
perogies
wild blueberries
fresh, wild steelhead
Japanese cukes, sake and miso
decent tofu
'Holy Hummus'
fresh picked ears of 'peaches and cream' sweetcorn from Silver Rill farm

Blue
Blue
Blue
A case of Blue
Another case of Blue.
A third case of Blue.

A truck load of Blue.

Oh heck, I'll just get a tanker of Blue or even build a pipeline.

Did I mention I like Blue?
