Let's put this on record - I like Steveston. It's one of my favourite places and many an evening I stop off at Garry Point Park to unwind after a hectic day.

But, Steveston does not have the best fish and chips in Metro Vancouver. The best fish and chips in metro Vancouver are in White Rock. Fact. Sorry, but this is just the way it is.

Anyway ...

I think a fish & chips taste test is in order!

... and as an aside, with all this fish & chips talk, the banner ad below is now displaying "Jenny Craig - FREE Weight Loss Profile!" !!!

Burnaby, Ha!

You obviously haven't tried Moby Dick's on East Beach. The line ups don't lie.

Yep the all you can eat is awesome, always busy on that day.....its nice but iv had better, the wigan pier fish and chip shop in squamish is better than most fish and chip shops in uk, def worth trying if out that way or on the way to or back from whistler.........Plus the views at both locations is a massive bonus.......never tried the one at white rock but maybe next time..

Trying to plan for making the best use of our time in BC, it's a big place, or so everyone keeps saying

OMG...Steveston is stunning but no beach, but runs along the river. Steveston has a lovely fish restaurant 'The Blue Canoe' Has a lovely promenade and cafes etc. Cresent Beach is really nice too. I think it may be a bit pricey but not sure. Good schools in both places as far as I can see from reports

I suppose it depends on your definition of beach.

Garry Point Park has beaches. There is also Gilbert Beach (next to London Farm House).
