Default state pension exchange rates

Hi
Can anyone tell me if it is financially more beneficial to have my state pension paid direct to a Canadian bank than having it paid via a british bank.At the moment I have my pension paid via HSBC premier account no fees apply but I am getting approx 4 cents less than the daily trading price.Any answers would be gratefully received. Thanks
