Hello, I graduated in 2008 and moved over to Canada on a TWP, its a good way to go as once you have +1 years experience you can apply for a fast tracked PR visa.

Thats good new for those under the new system....but they ought to be looking at putting more resources on the old applications still in the queue years later! Ours for example took 4 years!!!!:frown:

Just to clarify, there is no longer a 'fast track' for PR visas, they're all processed within 6-12 months regardless of the category. :)

Well that's not terribly helpful to the OP is it! How can they be fasttracked then?
Once more I ask YOU (as a mod which SUPPOSEDLY makes you a 'respected' poster and someone who's advice/information carries 'more weight') to qualify your posts and STOP making broad and sweeping generalisations. |

Am I looking at this the right way,?
You still have bills to pay, you still put your pants on one leg at a time...life doesnt really change, its only the set dressing that changes, plus you get a good dollop of stress going through the process of getting here too, with a side order of not knowing anyone or having those old friends to call on when you get here. I would recommend carefully examining what it is you are hoping to achieve and the motivation for trying a move to canada rather than just a more local move. |

I cringe when I see things like " a new life" here... You dont get to start "A new life" really.

What do you mean by "life doesn't really change"? My life here is about as far removed from my previous one as it could get.
