Starting a business

I shut down a successful PR business in 2009 to move to Canada. I now think I'm ready to make the dive and start something similar up over here.

Being an immigrant, is there anyone out there I should reach out to? I know that in the UK, Business Link (who I think are not around any more) had some services and support for immigrants.

Anything similar over here? I'm based out of The Scotia of Nova. ;)

Service Canada can help

There are also provincial programs to help the unemployed start their own business too which you might be able to take advantage of.

Good Luck!

If you are in Halifax - you can contact the Greater Halifax Partnership - they are always a good place to start. Also, have a chat with the people at http://www.platformspace.com/ - they are all really helpful, full of knowledge and all around fabulous people.
