well after feeling positive when i posted everything off....got home from work this afternoon to a letter from the university i attended saying that i hadn't sent enough money for my transcript of education that the CRNBC requested!
when i called they said that they charge £50 to do it.......which i thought was alot, anyways i sent off my £50 cheque (i made the lady say it twice cause i didnt believe her it was that much!) but the letter today says £60!!!! grrrrrrrr!!! so monday im back down the post office with my now £60 cheque and a delay of 7-14days in processing what they need to send to the CRNBC according to their letter!!:frown:

Some charge a lot and some charge little. I can't get mine as I trained over 10 years ago and they only keep them for 10 years. Hope you get it all sorted soon

My UK Uni tried to pull this one on me, and about nineteen years had gone by, by the time I needed a transcript. If it is an accredited degree issuing institution, it is required to keep your academic record in a retrievable manner, or cover the cost of reconstructing it themselves. My Uni had to put the transcript together from scratch. It still only cost me £15.

Wouldn't do anything for me but managed to get something sorted for NS college of registered nurses but I do have to do some courses before they will make me eligible to sit CRNE and I have been nursing since 88

Am i allowed to get a bit excited tonight??
Had a email from the CRNBC to say that they have started to process my application, and i will hear from them in 6-10weeks and they will let me know then if I can practice there. Which will be great timing as I fly out in 8 weeks time and I'm hoping to meet with VIHA (Vancouver Island Health Authority) about working for them! :fingerscrossed:
